MCI To Buy NetSec Inc. For About $105M Cash

Telecommunications company MCI Inc. plans to acquire NetSec Inc., a provider of
managed network security services, for about $105 million in cash. The move
reflects MCI's growing focus on Internet technology-based services, such as
hosting of data, network security, and the operation of sophisticated call
centers. NetSec had raised about $42.5 million since its inception in 1998.
