Genzyme Acquires German Biotech Verigen In Cash Deal Worth Up TO $50M

Publicly-traded biotech firm Genzyme Corp. said it has acquired German
biotherapy company Verigen AG for $10 million. Including later payments, the
purchase price may total up to $50 million.
